MySpace-A Place for Impact

MySpace is used for socializing and networking, but those are not the limits for MySpace users. Users can get involved and learn about organizations, carbon footprints, volunteering, politicians and so much more.

Everywhere around you people are going green and are talking about the environment. People want to learn about different organizations that help others. Or, they may want to know more about the politicians who wanted your vote. You may decide that you want to do something but you have absolutely no clue as to where to start.

You can sign into your MySpace page and click onto the More menu. A page will open up with a list on the left side. Under Community there is a link for Impact. Click on this link and a whole new world will open up for you.

You can check out different non-profit organizations. You can go to their MySpace pages and find out what they do to help. You can find out how you can get involved. You can find out about different politicians and read their blogs.

There is a featured cause that is highlighted. This may be something you may want to become passionate about. You may have recently had breast cancer affect your life and you want to get involved with the breast cancer organization. You can find the information that you need to do that on MySpace.

There is a section about our planet and carbon footprints. Do you know what your carbon footprint is? For that matter, do you even know what a carbon footprint is? You can find out on MySpace.

Maybe you want to touch your own community by volunteering. Volunteering can be very rewarding for you and for others. Do you know where you can volunteer and when they allow volunteers to come in? You can find out on MySpace. You can type in your zip code and choose from five miles to across the state. You can even choose virtual volunteering.

There are a lot of articles that can be read to catch you up on the issues that have been plaguing our planet.  The articles can range from stories on politics and the war to gas prices to drinking water.
